My name is Mike Wilson, a local Denver artist who painted watercolors of all 53 of the highest peaks in Colorado. I recently donated my 14ers collection to Cottonwood Institute, an award-winning 501(c)3 educational non-profit organization based in Denver, CO.
Our goal is to sell high quality reprints of the 14ers collection, and ultimately the entire original collection, and use the proceeds to
help break down barriers to get more kids into the outdoors who
otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity, and to inspire them to be
leaders, problem-solvers, and changemakers in their communities.
We want to acknowledge that the Colorado 14ers are located on Cheyenne, Arapaho, Ute, and Pueblos land, who are the original stewards of this beautiful state. As you explore these beautiful peaks, we ask you to join us in recognizing and honoring the original stewards of Colorado.
There are many ways to enjoy the Colorado mountains and 14,000 foot peaks. Not everyone has to summit a 14er or bag a peak. Some folks enjoy these mountains from a distance, while others like me love to paint them. Enjoy these peaks in whatever way feels comfortable, but please protect them!
Cottonwood Institute's art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that we stand behind the quality and value of our products.
