On the tribal lands of the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho
ARTIST NOTES: This peak was named for a Pennsylvania lawyer! Okay in fact he was later named to the territorial supreme court of Colorado by Ulysses S. Grant. Mount Belford is in the company of Missouri Mountain on the right. In this painting, the low saddle and ridge that connects to Mount Oxford is on the left. Mount Harvard peeks over that saddle. The low saddle between Belford and Missouri is Elk Head Pass.
